Spanish Exposure

Listen to Spanish every day, multiple times per day. Get as much daily exposure to Spanish as possible, even if you don't understand anything at first. This is how you learned your native language as a baby. Eventually you will understand words and phrases and your mind will expect to hear Spanish. While you listen, do NOT read printed words (song lyrics, Spanish subtitles) because your mind will focus on reading instead of listening. Beginning level books can be used for listening practice if a native or near native speaker reads the books aloud to you in Spanish.

Use the listening resource links on this webpage, check for Spanish TV programs and radio stations in your area, watch the Spanish sound track of your favorite DVD, and download Spanish songs. Be patient and listen to as much Spanish as you can every day!
